Question 1

What is Nudge?

Accepted Answer

Nudge is a platform where coaches, consultants and creators charge a tip to answer one question by text, voice or video. The asker writes a question and pays up front, the coach replies on their own schedule, and no call has to be scheduled.

Question 2

How much does it cost to ask a question on Nudge?

Accepted Answer

The coach sets the price, and most set it as premium access rather than a cheap offer. Across the 550 paid answers delivered on Nudge the median tip is $23 and half fall between $16 and $35, with individual tiers running up to $300.

Question 3

How much do coaches keep?

Accepted Answer

Coaches keep 90% of the price they set. Nudge takes the rest plus payment processing, and charges no monthly fee and no setup fee.

Question 4

What happens if the coach never replies?

Accepted Answer

The tip is authorized when the question is asked and captured only when the coach replies. If no reply arrives within 7 days the authorization is released and the asker is not charged.

Question 5

How is Nudge different from Cameo?

Accepted Answer

Cameo sells one-way shoutout videos meant to be shared. Nudge sells a private answer to the asker's own question, and the answer stays private to the person who paid for it.

Question 6

How is Nudge different from Calendly, Intro or Clarity.fm?

Accepted Answer

Those platforms book a live call on a calendar and usually bill by the minute. Nudge is asynchronous: there is nothing to schedule, and the coach answers in writing, in a voice note or on video whenever it suits them.

Question 7

How is Nudge different from Patreon, Substack or a membership?

Accepted Answer

A membership charges a recurring fee for access to content. Nudge charges once, for one answer to one question, and the asker gets a reply written for them specifically.

Question 8

Who uses Nudge?

Accepted Answer

Mostly coaches who get more advice requests in their DMs than they can answer for free. The largest category on the platform is relationship coaching, followed by health, business and lifestyle.

Question 9

Does AI write the answers?

Accepted Answer

No. A human coach writes or records every reply. Nudge does not generate answers.

Question 10

What formats can a coach answer in?

Accepted Answer

A written reply, a voice note, a video reply, or an optional live call tier the coach can switch on.

Question 11

How does a coach start on Nudge?

Accepted Answer

Sign up, set prices for a few question tiers, and share the resulting link. A coach page lives at readnudge.com followed by their handle.

Question 12

Can a coach charge for Instagram DMs with Nudge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The usual pattern is to reply briefly in the DM and send the Nudge link for the long answer, so the detailed advice is paid rather than free.
